Mosaics!

I'm not sure how well these will show up. They were such large files I couldn't get them to upload, so I took screenshots of them and uploaded those. Resourcefulness, I tell you!

This one is my friend Christie!

Street Photography

The street photography project was a bit of a step outside my comfort zone because it required me to be around lots of strangers, which is one of the scariest things to me.

I think there's something very neat about taking pictures of someone taking pictures.

When I saw how much fun this little boy was having jumping over the picnic tables, I knew I had to get a shot. This was the only one I got because he stopped right after I captured it. To me, this photo really captures the simple joys of childhood.

That thing scares me.

That would scare me too. I don't know what they were thinking.

How sweet is that?

Architecture Prints

These are my prints from the architecture project. These are not digital like the first ones.

(Contact sheet)

For this project, my dad took me into Portland one sunny afternoon. I had a ton of fun with this project and it has made me look at buildings in a whole new way. Now whenever I'm in Portland, I look at them and say to myself "that would make a great photo." It has definitely made me look at the city in a different light.

Architecture Warm-up (In Class)

Class-Locker

Today was a great day! My photo teacher instructed us to wander around school and take pictures of the architecture. This isn't exactly architecture, but it's one of my favorite shots.

Guess What?

You remember the Homes and Gardens photo contest I entered a few months ago?

One of my submissions is a runner up!

Now isn't that exciting?

Twelfe Night Portraits

The following pictures are of one of my friends who was in the school play with me. I wanted to test out angles and she was my willing victim. Please ignore the graininess, as I did the best I could in the horrible lighting with my iso at 3200, though I still think they turned out nicely considering.

And this is me in my amazing Christmas-colored costume! Don't you just love the hat? I loved it too until I discovered that it was way too big and it kept falling over my eyes at crucial points during the performances. I wish I had a picture of my entire costume... It was really cute!
